Mark Garvey is an independent artist from St. Albans, Hertfordshire, UK. Mark primarily works in film and music ... amongst other weirdness.

Mark's current project is his second album "Yellow Bile" (2026), following his debut LP "Red Cut" (2025). Mark's recent work includes the "philosophicomedy" series "Idea Man" (2024), the documentary road trip "The Freedoms" (2022), and the interactive choose-your-own adventure folk horror "'Twas the Devil" (2021).

A brutally honest DIY grunge rock song about loneliness, isolation and alienation. The song captures the tragedy of hoping that a barista will talk to you, because no one else is going to, as there simply isn't anyone else anymore 🗣️

“One Last Coffee” is a vulnerable and introspective alternative rock track reflecting on how loved ones slowly disappear as time trickles down ⏳

But it’s also a love letter to coffee. To coffee shops. To cafés. To just about every place that you can get a coffee in Hertfordshire. Although as miserable as can be, the song clings on to the hope that - one day - we will drink coffee together again like we used to ☕

🎸 The song and video are made entirely one-man-band style: rough and ready, fast and dirty. Authentically DIY and in the true spirit of underground indie with raw singer-songwriter honesty.

Over the last two weeks of "Antiantiantifa" blasting away, I've had tonnes of hilarious comments and messages from the furious gammons 🍖

I'm sure that the coincidental timing of the local elections made them even more gammony than usual 🐽

I'm very happy to get abuse, lose loads of followers, and to get blocked by people because of art. Music, words and images that agitate the Fascist fucks are weapons in fighting the good fight ✊

It has been fun debating with them, and it feels great for the art to ruffle some feathers instead of silently disappearing into the void 🌀

I don't imagine tomorrow's new song will trigger too many battles. That said, it's nice to know that the song after is definitely gonna piss some people off 😉

There was just the one all-out political song on the first album; whereas, there are three on the second album. By the time we get to album five - that I'm finishing up now - the entire thing is a full-blown manifesto/autopsy of the Fascist Right corpse ✊

This sole focus on a single subject is commensurate to the injustices out there and the anger that they trigger ⚖️
