"Idea Man" (2024)

"Idea Man" is a triptych of trilogies about ideas, creativity, and doing whatever it takes to pursue a dream. Art’s life is going nowhere, he’s stuck in a miserable job he can’t tolerate, and he’s had enough of the pointless meaninglessness of his existence. Art’s only dim flicker of hope is his absolute certainty that he is on the verge of having a life-changing idea that will be his ticket to freedom. Now, all Art has to do is stay focused, not get distracted, and finally have his idea.

"Idea Man" is a "philosophicomedy" series of 9 half-hour-ish episodes following our hero’s journey through the contexts of work, rest and play. It has approximately equal parts of existential nightmare, black comedy, soppy romcom and scathing satire. "Idea Man" mischievously pokes fun at downtrodden teachers, absurd artists, and trendy hipsters (and much, much more), but it does so with a wholesome warm gooey heart.
